Dr. Holly Atkinson

Clinical Professor, CUNY School of Medicine; Member, American Medical Women’s Association’s “Physicians Against Trafficking in Humans” Task Force

Dr. Holly Atkinson is a leader in the medical community’s efforts to halt human trafficking.  A former Physicians for Human Rights (PHR) board chair, she is an Expert Medical Advisor and Asylum Network Member for PHR and an Affiliate Medical Professor in the Department of Clinical Medicine at the CUNY School of Medicine.  At Mount Sinai, she directed the Human Rights Program, supporting asylum seekers who had suffered torture, trafficking, and other serious human rights violations through forensic evaluations and care triage.  Dr. Atkinson also co-chaired the American Medical Women’s Association’s Human Trafficking Committee, which authored the Association’s position statement on human trafficking.
