Katie Cappiello, the Founder of GooCapp Arts, is an award-winning theater creator, acting teacher and coach, playwright, and screenwriter whose plays, including SLUT, Now That We’re Men, Her Story, Uncut, JOY, Rose of St. Therese, and Where Do We Go From Here, explore sex, gender, and equality. Ms. Cappiello is also a co-creator of Project Impact, a theater-based leadership workshop for youth and adult trafficking survivors, and is the writer/director of A Day in the Life, After 18, and One Click Away, which have toured cities nationwide, raising awareness about commercial sexual exploitation through theater and conversation. She has been honored by the National Women’s Hall of Fame for her work fusing arts and activism.
