Dr. Angela Diaz
An internationally recognized leader in health care, Dr. Angela Diaz is devoted to helping the most vulnerable teens. She is Dean of Global Health, Social Justice, and Human Rights and the Jean C. and James W. Crystal Professor in Adolescent Health at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai Health Center. As former Director of the Mount Sinai Adolescent Health Center, Dr. Diaz developed programs to address the health needs of victims of human trafficking and at-risk teens at large, including prevention and treatment of pregnancy, HIV, violence, trauma, and sexual abuse. Through her health advocacy and policy work in the United States, as well as Africa, Asia and Latin America, Dr. Diaz has had a significant impact on the lives and health of young people worldwide.
