Julissa Ferreras-Copeland is Senior Partner at Hollis Public Affairs, a Regent on the Morgan State University Board of Regents, and a former New York City Council Member for Queens’ 21st District. During her Council tenure, she was the first woman, first person of color, and youngest person to chair the New York City Council’s Committee on Finance, overseeing the city’s budget process and related fiscal agencies. As Chair of the Committee on Women’s Issues, Ms. Ferreras-Copeland also presided over hearings on human trafficking and provided passionate leadership to protect victims and hold perpetrators accountable.
