Karenna Gore
Karenna Gore is an attorney, advocate, author of Lighting the Way: Nine Women Who Shaped Modern America, and Founder and Executive Director of the Center for Earth Ethics at Union Theological Seminary, where she is also Teaching Professor of Practice of Earth Ethics. A former Board Member of Sanctuary for Families and a current member of its President’s Council and Legal Advisory Council, Ms. Gore has advocated to strengthen New York State’s laws against human trafficking and to ensure the protection of at-risk girls. Through the Center for Earth Ethics, which she formed in 2015, Ms. Gore advances religious and moral engagement on the climate crisis, ecological justice, water protection, and public policy.
