R. Evon Benson-Idahosa
Founder and Executive Director, Pathfinders Justice Initiative
An activist and lawyer, R. Evon Benson-Idahosa is the Founder and Executive Director of Pathfinders Justice Initiative, Inc., a leading international impact organization that seeks justice for female survivors of child sex abuse, sex trafficking, and sexual violence through judicial reform, empowerment, and community transformation. Working in Nigeria and with Nigerian survivors globally, she focuses on the intersection of African women’s economic empowerment and gender-based violence, legislative and training work, survivor support, and anti-trafficking systems change. Ms. Benson-Idahosa was named a 2023 U.S. State Department Trafficking in Persons Report Hero, and Pathfinders reported that in its first decade it supported more than 5,000 primary beneficiaries and built survivor partnerships in 12 countries.
