Sarah Jones
Renowned as “a one-woman global village,” Tony Award-winner Sarah Jones is a playwright, performer, writer/director, producer, and podcast host. She has given multiple main-stage TED Talks, performed at the White House and the United State of Women Summit for President and First Lady Obama, and at the World Economic Forum. Ms. Jones’ education at the United Nations School and Bryn Mawr College contributed to her becoming a vocal advocate for the empowerment of women and girls globally. In her role as a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador, she performed for audiences around the world and raised awareness of issues including ethnic, racial, and economic disparities in the United States. Ms. Jones launched Foment Productions, a social justice-focused entertainment company. Her hybrid documentary film, Sell/Buy/Date, executive produced by Meryl Streep, became her acclaimed screenwriting/directing debut, with a 2022 SXSW world premiere and wide streaming release. Ms. Jones also created and hosts America, Who Hurt You?
