Siddharth Kara
Siddharth Kara is an author, researcher, an activist expert on modern slavery, and a Rights Lab Visiting Professor of Human Trafficking and Modern Slavery at the University of Nottingham. He is the author of numerous books and articles on contemporary slavery, including “Sex Trafficking: Inside the Business of Modern Slavery,” “Bonded Labor: Tackling the System of Slavery in South Asia,” “Modern Slavery: A Global Perspective,” “Cobalt Red: How the Blood of the Congo Powers Our Lives,” and “The Zorg.” Mr. Kara’s first book was made into the feature film TRAFFICKED. Across years of research, he has traveled to more than 50 countries on six continents to document the cases of thousands of enslaved people and child laborers.
