Tatiana Kotlyarenko is an international expert and speaker on violence against women and girls and human trafficking, and is a member of the G20 IF20 Human Trafficking Working Group. She served as Advisor on Anti-Trafficking Issues at OSCE from 2016 to 2023. In addition to providing technical support to OSCE-participating states in their efforts to combat human trafficking, she worked on the second edition of National Referral Mechanisms - Joining Efforts to Protect the Rights of Trafficked Persons: A Practical Handbook. Ms. Kotlyarenko was featured in CNN’s Innocence for Sale documentary film in Cambodia, released in 2010. She also founded and served as Executive Director of EPAWA, a prominent Ghanaian non-governmental organization dedicated to combating human trafficking, forced labor, and gender-based violence.
“Growing up in New York City, I saw a high school friend fall victim to sex trafficking. Since then, I have seen the same replication of abuse and exploitation globally and I am determined to add my voice and my work to combating trafficking in human beings. Trafficking of women and girls directly impacts women and girls, but it is not solely their issue — it is a universal issue to be tackled by every individual.”
