Dr. Jennifer Lovenstein

Survivor of Sex Trafficking; Former Pharmacist

Dr. Jennifer Lovenstein was trafficked by her father, a truck driver, at the age of six, following her parents’ divorce.  When visiting him, he would take her to truck stops and portray her as a runaway and a “lot lizard.”  She escaped “the life” at the age of 18, and evnetually began a career as a pharmacist.

“For the first part of my life, I was treated as if my life had no worth because I was a female.  People could do anything they wanted to me, no matter how brutal or shocking it would seem to the rest of the world.  The trucking industry has tolerated and supported prostitution for too long.  I spent most of my life terrified of talking about my experiences.  I want to use my voice to help others find theirs.”
