Alexi Ashe Meyers
Alexi Ashe Meyers is the Director of Anti-Trafficking Policy at Sanctuary for Families, New York's leading advocate and service provider for survivors of domestic violence, sex trafficking, and gender-based violence. She works to advance policies that protect women and girls from exploitation in the global sex trade while holding traffickers, buyers, and facilitators accountable. Ms. Meyers helped pass federal legislation to shut down Backpage.com and has championed stronger local protections in New York City. Previously, she served as an assistant district attorney in Brooklyn's Special Victims and Human Trafficking Bureaus and worked with the Los Angeles City Attorney's Office. Ms. Meyers co-chairs the New York State Anti-Trafficking Coalition, sits on the board of the Coalition Against Trafficking in Women, and received Sanctuary's Zero Tolerance Award in 2020.
