Elisa Morales
Survivor of Domestic and Sexual Violence; Executive Director, Spanish Action League of Onondaga County, Inc. (“La Liga”)
Elisa Morales has served since 2017 as Executive Director of the Spanish Action League of Onondaga County, Inc. (La Liga), an Acacia Network affiliate serving Onondaga, Oswego, Madison, Cortland, and Cayuga counties in New York. She is the former Spokesperson for the Central New York Anti-Trafficking Task Force and the Safe Harbor Initiative of Onondaga County, New York, and remains active in human trafficking awareness through community education. A survivor of domestic and sexual violence, Ms. Morales learned the hard way that some of the most beautiful things emerge from the ugliest of situations. She believes that we were not put on this earth to see through each other, but rather to see each other through. In her fight against trafficking, one person at a time, Ms. Morales moves mountains when someone’s freedom is at stake.
“Modern-day slavery does exist. The invisible people walk among us every day. I have the honor of crossing paths with them to let them know that there is help and hope.”
