Joel Motley

Financier; Attorney; Chair, Board of Directors of the Office of Finance, Federal Home Loan Bank System; Chair Emeritus, Board of Human Rights Watch

A financier and attorney, Joel Motley is Chair of the Board of Directors of the Office of Finance, Federal Home Loan Bank System, and Chair Emeritus of the Board of Human Rights Watch.  He is the founder of Carmona Motley Inc. and Public Capital Advisors LLC, and formerly served as an independent director of Invesco Mutual Funds and chair of the New York Board of Oppenheimer Mutual Funds.  Prior to investment banking, Mr. Motley served as Chief of Staff to Senator Daniel Patrick Moynihan in New York City and surrounding counties.  A Harvard Law School graduate, he is a Board Member of the Pulitzer Center and serves with the Trust for Mutual Understanding, Historic Hudson Valley, Friends of the Legal Resources Centre of South Africa, and the Vestry of Trinity Church in New York.
