Gail Prudenti

Former Chief Administrative Judge of the New York Courts and New York State Supreme Court Justice; Former Dean, Hofstra Law School; Partner, Burner Prudenti Law

While serving as Chief Administrative Judge of the New York Courts and New York State Supreme Court Justice, Gail Prudenti worked hand-in-hand with Chief Judge Lippman to implement a trail-blazing response to the complex and devastating problem of human trafficking.  By helping create a network of specialized, trauma-informed courts designed to identify and assist trafficking survivors, and by bringing together state court leaders from around the country for a National Summit on Human Trafficking and the State Courts, New York’s judiciary became a national leader.  Ms. Prudenti later served as Dean of Hofstra Law and is now a partner at Burner Prudenti Law and a  founding member of Mediation Solutions of NY.

“The time has come for our society and our courts to take a proactive and collaborative approach to combating the evil of trafficking in all its forms.  By working together, we all become partners in justice, dedicated to ending the exploitation of the most vulnerable among us and truly changing lives.”
