Mónica Ramírez is a longtime farm worker and immigrant rights activist who currently serves as the Founder and President/CEO of Justice for Migrant Women.  Ms. Ramírez’s work has been informed and motivated by her family’s history working in the agricultural fields of our nation.  She has founded several national projects aimed at eradicating gender-based violence against immigrant and farmworker women, specifically workplace sexual violence and labor exploitation, including Esperanza: The Immigrant Women’s Legal Initiative of the Southern Poverty Law Center and The Bandana Project. After writing a letter of solidarity with actresses in Hollywood on behalf of over 700,000 farm workers, Ms. Rírez inspired them to start the Time’s Up Legal Defense Fund. Ms. Ramírez is also the Co-Founder of Alianza Nacional de Campesinas, The Latinx House, and Poderistas.
