Sexually abused as a child in her home country in South America, resulting in pregnancy at the age of 14, Roxanne was a mother of three by the time she was 19 years old and in need of escaping from another abusive relationship.  Gratefully accepting a family member’s offer to bring her to the United States with the promise of a good job, Roxanne was horrifically betrayed when instead she was passed on to a sex trafficking syndicate and her children were threatened with murder if she failed to cooperate.  For three years, Roxanne was trafficked throughout Florida, her prostituted body sold dozens of times every day, six days a week.  Roxanne regained her freedom only after the FBI took down her traffickers in a sting.  Today, Roxanne is reunited with her children, self-employed as a driver, and bravely shares her story, including in testimony before Congress.
