Mercedes Ruehl is an Academy, Golden Globe, and Tony Award-winning actor, who has appeared in numerous roles in films, including The Fisher King, Married to the Mob, Lost in Yonkers, and The Nana Project, and in television shows, such as Frasier, Entourage, Law & Order, and Accused.  Ms. Ruehl is also an acclaimed stage actor in productions, including Lost in Yonkers, The Goat, or Who Is Sylvia?, The Shadow Box, and Torch Song.  During her early years in New York City, Ms. Ruehl volunteered at Covenant House and saw firsthand the vulnerability, the longing, and the indomitable spirit in that sprawling world of so-called “lost children.”
