Marjorie Saylor
Survivor of Sex Trafficking; Care Coordinator and Director of Human Trafficking Services and Awareness, One Safe Place: Board President, Survivor Leader Network of San Diego: Survivor Voice Subcommittee Vice Chair; San Diego Regional Human Trafficking Advisory Council; Former Founder and CEO, The Well Path; Former Director of Client Services, Alabaster Jar Project.
Marjorie Saylor is a survivor of trafficking through the adult sex industry. After growing up amid domestic violence and child sexual abuse, her need to survive forced her to run away from home, which ultimately pushed her into “the life.” Ms. Saylor was exploited through strip clubs and escorting services until a sex-buyer tried to kill her. She is now a devoted mother whose life mission is to mentor young girls and women experiencing trauma, while educating the community and fighting for change in the hearts of our society. Ms. Salor serves as Care Coordinator and Director of Human Trafficking Services and Awareness with One Safe Place, a project of the San Diego District Attorney’s Office, and is also the Board President of the Survivor Leader Network of San Diego, a Survivor Voice Subcommittee Vice Chair on the San Diego Regional Human Trafficking Advisory Council, and holds a seat on 3Strands Global Foundation’s Survivor Advisory Board. Ms. Saylor has devoted her life to helping other victims leave a life of exploitation and walking with them as they fight through their trauma and into thriving lives of self-sufficiency.
“Human trafficking has devastated our society for centuries and the demand for sex fuels its burning fire, which is void of humanity as it swallows up true economic equality and individual self-worth. The adult industry is the platform being used today that tells our culture it is acceptable to view our sons and daughters as products rather than persons of real value.”
