Susan Stern
Immediate Past Chair, The President’s Advisory Council on Faith-based and Neighborhood Partnerships
Susan Stern has ignited communities of faith to take action to end modern-day slavery across the country. A trustee of the Jewish Federations of North America, Ms. Stern has served in leadership roles with the American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee and as Chair of the New York State Commission on National and Community Service. In 2011, President Obama appointed her Chair of the President’s Advisory Council on Faith-based and Neighborhood Partnerships, and under her leadership, the Council called on faith and community leaders to be the voice for those whose cries are not heard and who cannot speak for themselves.
