Meryl Streep is a three-time Academy Award-winning actor, philanthropist, and activist who has portrayed an astonishing array of characters in a career that has cut its own unique path across multiple mediums.  Ms. Streep lends her efforts to organizations including Women for Women International, Equality Now, the National Women’s History Museum, Frontline Women’s Fund, the Coalition Against Trafficking in Women, and Partners in Health. In 2024, she joined Afghan women leaders at a UN General Assembly event addressing the inclusion of women in Afghanistan’s future, and has been a very generous donor to the National Women’s History Museum to expand digital storytelling and women’s history education.
