Former Founders and Leaders, The Korean American Family Service Center (KAFSC)

Sarah BJ Sung is Chair Emerita and a former Board Chair of KAFSC; Aiyoung Choi, a management consultant to nonprofits, is Chair Emerita of KAFSC; and Jungsook Grace Yoon served as its Executive Director.  These three extraordinary leaders helped make KAFSC one of New York’s leading organizations working to end domestic violence and sexual assault.  Founded in 1989, KAFSC remains the first anti-domestic-violence organization dedicated to the Korean American community in the New York Tri-State area, with programs including a 24-hour Korean/English crisis hotline, counseling, advocacy, economic empowerment, housing, community outreach, and services for children and youth.
