Sharon Teed-Medeiros is a survivor of childhood sexual exploitation, which began at the age of six.  At age thirteen, she became a victim of sex trafficking initiated by an adult she considered her boyfriend.  Addicted to drugs and not seeing a way out, Ms. Teed-Medeiros spent years in the sex trade, including starting her own “escorting” business.  Finally able to escape the sex industry, Ms. Teed-Medeiros found employment in the corporate world for a number of years, but felt that she wasn’t going anywhere, and wanted something different. As a Survivor Mentor at My Life My Choice, Sharon was paired with children who had experienced or were at high risk of sexual exploitation to serve as their mentor.
